Patience and perseverance are the key but the greatest reward is helping someone find out who their ancestors were and where they came from."
By themselves, the records that are out there give you the "who", the "when" and the "where". When you put these together in context with what was going on in that time period, you start to get a picture of the challenges your ancestor's faced and their character. It transforms the black-and-white records by adding colour to the family story and bringing these stories to life.
Sarah started out researching her own family and has found records of ancestors that her family didn't know about. She has made contact with distant cousins and relatives in other countries and has given them an understanding of how their family tree is connected.
